    The Progress...
In the eventful years following its inception, the Madras YMCA has been rendering yeoman service to the community in and around Madras with a focus on youth and their positive development, irrespective of caste, creed and colour.

The Madras YMCA also started the YMCA college of Physical education in 1920, which was eventually transferred to the National council of YMCAs India.
Having come a long way, it has developed itself into several branches, community centers and homes for destitute boys in Madras and its suburbs.

The YMCA has been recognized by both the Government and Community as one of the pioneering organizations working with youth for the complete development of their personality – body, mind and spirit as encapsulated in the universal policy of YMCA.
